Welcome to the UCLU European Society

The UCLU European Society is home to students from all backgrounds who are interested in the political and cultural landscape of Europe. We are a vibrant society organising academic and social activities relating to all aspects of modern European life. In addition to our stimulating intellectual atmosphere, EuroSoc is a community where members can come together in an informal environment with like-minded students from all over the world.

Welcome! We are looking forward to an exciting academic year 2011-12, and our program this year is our most ambitious to date. We kick off with a traditional Scottish Ceilidh in the impressive surroundings of the UCL main quad. We will continue the tradition of European film nights, starting off with the must-see “L’Auberge Espagnole”. The highlight of term one will take place in November, with the first ever European Focus Week.

In addition to this we are very proud to publish EUREKA magazine, which was the UCLU Publication of the Year 2010-11. The magazine focuses on European politics, arts, and society, and we invite all students with an interest in European issues to contribute.

To join (and re-join) European Society, either see CSC reception, 2nd floor, Bloomsbury Building, or do it through the UCLU shop.

We are looking forward to meeting you, and hope to see you soon at one of our events.
